It's all fun and games and KEEP THE ANIMALS FROM EATING MY TULIPS!

It's not pretty, but it is pretty functional.

Also spent some time doing surgery to one of the slowest growing flowers ever!

I'm so excited by how well the lisianthus are doing this season. 🤞🏼we can keep the vermin from eating them down when I plant them out!

I think snapdragons are a favorite of everyone in this family!

If you've ever been to see the flowers, you've probably met this slobber monster. He's my constant shadow, my perfect guard puppy, and is way bigger in person than he is in photos. As I'm often reminded, "Wow, I forgot how big he is!"

Throwing it back to 2022, year 1 of flower farming. It was a crazy year. A family trip to Florida with two kiddos ages 3 and 1 . Still in the semi thralls of COVID, I wanted a break so Allen took the boys to the pool and I stayed back dreaming of what was next. I watched videos on how to start a cut flower farm, dreamed through the Johnny's online flower seed catalogue, made my online wishlist, and later in the week purchased those seeds! Shortly after getting home and in the groove of things again my grandma got sick. The boys and I had gotten in the habit of visiting her every week. She'd spoil the kiddos while we chatted and she'd yell at me to sit down and rest while I helped pick up. I miss those visits. I miss her asking, "How's my boys?". 2022 was the year I said goodbye to my Grandma and this year, starting our 5th year of flower farming hits different. I wish she could have been around longer to watch the boys grow, to see my flowers blossom. Year one was a good distraction from the sadness and the farming challenges were met head on. I've learned a few things over the years, gained new friendships, and still procrastinate on all of the important decisions. We are getting around to it. Seeds are ordered, subscription plans are being finalized, and I want to make year 5 extra special! I could use a little hype, so if you've been waiting to get a Round TUIT, here's your sign. A cheeky writing from my grandma, who was a lefty, but always did it right. Please share with me all the flower love - pictures and comments from seasons passed, and encouragement for the seasons to come!
I miss warm summer mornings and playing in the garden.
